Welcome to the combined website of the Kyle of Sutherland District Salmon Fishery Board and the Kyle of Sutherland Fisheries Trust.

Objectives

The Kyle of Sutherland District Salmon Fisheries Board and the Kyle of Sutherland Fisheries Trust are the two organisations tasked with managing and improving the fishery and the riparian habitat within the catchment of the 5 rivers flowing into the Kyle of Sutherland. Their purpose is to support research conservation initiatives and to advance public education that will benefit the freshwater fish resources and associated habitat of the region and to preserve for future generations a valuable part of Sutherland's natural heritage.

What we do to achieve these objectives:

• Assist with gathering scientific data to be used as a benchmark for strategic management of the Kyle of Sutherland habitat
• Secure and provide sustainable finance in support of projects and initiatives by encouraging membership, partnership and private donation
• Offer and distribute information and advice to those involved with managing, living within and using the fisheries and catchment area habitat
• Involve the local community in appreciation of the valuable resource that is the Kyle of Sutherland habitat through educational initiatives.
